How It Started
Proactive Home started like so many small businesses do…thinking of a way to solve our own problem. As homeowners, we were tired of keeping track of contacts and invoices just to maintain our homes. What started as a spreadsheet and contact lists turned into something bigger and more powerful. We wanted to share contact information with our neighbors. We wanted to an easy way to find local pros to help. We wanted to take back the time it took to manage all the services and checks and emergencies. We wanted to be, well, Proactive.
So two childhood friends, with the support of their families, started to sketch some ideas to solve their own problem and help each other. And then it grew. The more we thought of ways to make things easier for ourselves, the more excited we became to build and share those tools.
So after a lot of work, learning, and dedication, those two friends took the leap, left their comfortable corporate lives, and embarked on this journey to make something real.
What started as a conversation and problem-solving session eventually turned into Proactive Home. We hope it helps you like it helped us, taking back time to actually enjoy the homes we worked so hard for, instead of just managing it day after day.
Who We Are
Proactive Home is a company focused on helping homeowners and business owners, big or small. We created technology tools to help manage a house, but realized that tools are only useful if the community leveraged them together to help build and maintain their homes.
We are small business owners dedicated to helping our neighbors and communities, far and wide.
And personally, we’re neighbors raising families in our “forever” homes and have learned many, many lessons of home and business ownership along the way!
